Senpai Tom, started training in Kyokushin Karate aged 10 years old in Melton Mowbray.

In 2011 Tom moved to a new club in Crawley, West Sussex where he gained a high level of experience & training with top level professional fighters and was fortunate enough to fight for the IFK (International Federation of Karate (Kyokushin) in Europe and Japan.

Tom has always had a passion for karate and other material arts. At the age eighteen he was ready to be entered into his first tournament at novice level at the prestigious British Open at Crystal Palace in London.  

Tom came  third in his category, which cemented his passion for knockdown and full contact fighting in material arts.

Over the years, Tom has competed in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) against well know fighters  in K-1 and fought Muay Thai Boxing and competed in many fights in Thailand. 

Over the years Tom has trained many professional MMA fighters and taught in many gyms learning and developing his skills .

The proudest moment and highlight of Tom's karate life was In 2013 , where Tom travelled to Japan and fought in the Shinkyokushin - All Japan Open Tournament representing IFK Europe. 

Since the age of 18 years old, Tom has continued his passion for kyokushin knockdown and over the years he has taken part in over 21 knockdown tournaments. 

During Tom's 24 years training in Kyokushin Karate, he has been taught by some of the best fighters Great Britain has ever produced.

Tom still continues to train and fight in tournaments and has fulfilled one of his dreams by having his own club . He is now the head instructor at Ronin Kyokushin in Melton Mowbray , Leicestershire where he strives to pass on his knowledge, experience and passion for kyokushin karate on to the next generation and produce future champions.

Kyokushin Karate is a full contact style of karate known as the strongest style in the World and was  founded by Sosai Masutatsu Oyama.
